Overview

On this day trip from Agra, see the colonial heritage of Etawah, a town situated at a distance of 60 miles from Agra. Etawah is associated with the Britisher A.O. Hume – who was a leading figure of the Indian Civil Service. He is also known as the father of Indian Ornithology and the founder of the Indian National Congress. Also visit Victoria Memorial – a strange amalgamation of styles built through local subscriptions, St. Mary’s Church, the British cemetery, the old bazaar and Jama Masjid mosque.
